causes of insomnia and sleeplessness are stress, strain, tension, worries,
depression and dryness in the brain cells and tissues. In order to treat
insomnia one is to learn to vacate the mind as much as possible from every such
thing and this can be done easily by practicing an exercise of concentration
and focusing of attention on a given point. Following exercise to pacify mind
and releave tension and other worries has been proved very effective and
beneficial.
After
retiring from the day’s work, go to the bed. The bed must be a comfortable one.
Lie straight in the bed. Let your body be relaxed. Close your eyes and imagine
that a large glass/jar is placed upon the abdomen covering the body from neck
to navel. This jar is filled with cool and pleasant lights. When this
imagination is established, start reciting the following verse. By the grace of
God, only few times recitation will make you to sleep soundly.
الم ﴿١﴾ ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ.............يُوقِنُونَ

All the
stages of man's life are lived in small fragments of time equaling to a tiny
fraction of a second, Whole life of man, even if exceeds hundred years, keeps
on dividing into these fractions of time called moments. It is worth
considering that in order to live this life man keeps on joining these
fractions of tune in his mind and the very same fragments are put to use. In
our thinking which resembles a whirl-pool of fragments of time either we
advance from one segment of time to another or revert back from the one to
another one.
